David Burgess was convicted of the murders of Jeanette Wigmore 9 and Jacqueline Williams 9 who he killed on 17 April 1967.
On 20 July 2012 he was convicted of the murder of Yolande Waddington 17.
Jacqueline Williams had been drowned after being sexually assaulted and Jeanette Wigmore had been stabbed in the throat. They were both found dead a gravel pit. he said that he had seen a man bending over a girl while he was poaching. The murders were known as The Beenham Gravel Pit Murders.
Yolande Waddington was last seen at the Six Bells public where she bought some cigarettes. Her body was found in a ditch on October 30 1966 having been stabbed and strangled. he was convicted for her murder 45 years later after advances in DNA techniques.
